Miss Manners

So it's been a while since I've posted. I've been very busy, or should I say run ragged by these kids so far this summer. I wanted to share a little story about what just happened though. It amused me, but also made me proud.

I am constantly trying to teach the girls manners with little results. (The boys are a lost cause at this point..LOL)Usually if they want something I will ignore them and wait for them to ask instead of demanding something or just making a statement.This proves that Melly is listening at least part of the time.I was just sitting at the computer and the girls were on the couch nearby. Emma says about 3 times, I'm thirsty. I don't respond.Then I hear Melly say to her... Emma you know that's not how to get what you you want. You say please may I have a drink.I about died. Emma then asked me the correct way. I thanked Melly for teaching her older sister manners and got them both a drink.Just goes to show that they are really listening sometimes when you think that they aren't.
